I admit it. I’m “That guy” (well, girl) the one who takes pictures of their food and posts in on all social media for everyone to see.

Taking a photo with your iPhone is much more discreet than pulling out a DSLR to snap a quick picture of your food before you chow down in a public place.

Some of these photos take me back to a particularly fun time: Cappuccino in Italy with my husband on our honeymoon! Chocolate Chip Pancakes at The Stack after going to Mass on a Sunday morning. Those pancakes were quite the experience with fresh whipped cream…..mmmm. I need to go there again.

Being able to instantly share those kind of moments with all of your friends is fun. It’s like a modern day postcard saying, “Wish You Were Here!”

I took these photos of some cookies I baked the other day. You can find the recipe on my other blog, here.

I’m happy with the first photo, the lighting is good. The other two are a little too grainy for my liking. I think my ISO was a little too high…But I like the Depth of field.

I like that I can find flaws in my pictures, because then I can find ways to improve them. I’ll be more aware of my settings the next time.

I want to experiment with more food styling for my next project. Check out this amazing Pinterest board of food styling. I had to follow it as soon as I found it.
